The stamps depict the 'Roman Anchorage' - Roman ships anchored on the Rock no doubt sheltering from rough seas, the 'Medieval Galley House'- the Moorish occupation of Gibraltar and Spain was spearheaded from the Rock, 'British Relief Ships'- the Battle of Trafalgar and all naval requirements were served by the Gibraltar Naval base, and 'HMS Berwick'.
